Changes coming next to Cirrata


After getting some player play-testing in I have decided on changing a few things due to some confusion on what the game is.

Most notably I am reworking the world layout to aid in learning the game mechanics faster and then introducing the Rogue-lite aspects of the game much sooner, as this is what the game is mainly intended to be. There will still be many Metroidvania inspired things but the game as a whole will be Rogue-lite.

The player will be introduced to the weapons and food item systems much sooner. With this change you will be able to figure out how you want to play much sooner.

You will also reach the central hub of the game much earlier providing you access to food items and weapons so you can actually pick and choose some things to a degree before you go out exploring for the first time.

Finally, many more story elements are being added to the game!

With all of this said. The next playable version will take me a bit longer to get out.

The game is currently in Alpha state but is free to download here.
